This is a web version of the Hamilton County Business Magazine, a bi-monthly publication which is mailed free of charge to all Chamber of Commerce members in Hamilton County, Indiana. Mission

The Hamilton County Business Magazine celebrates and promotes industry, commerce and entrepreneurship in Hamilton County, Indiana. We are a feature magazine, entirely locally produced, and we rely on the support of our local businesses for advertising and editorial content.

Local Commitment

We believe that in order to thrive a community must maintain a local base of business. We welcome the capital and other resources from distantly owned and operated businesses and we encourage them to invest in our community and partner with us for mutual benefit. However, we will always support locally owned and operated businesses first. We believe that they provide the initiative, creativity, leadership and resources necessary for the county to reach its potential and fulfill its promise. Hamilton County is a special place and to remain special we must cultivate locally based entrepreneurship. 

Products

We publish two main print products:

• The Hamilton County Business Magazine, which is published every other month and mailed to members of all six hamilton County Chamber of Commerce
• The Welcome to Hamilton County Visitors Guide, an annual publication that is distributed to all hotels in Hamilton County for the benefit of visitors. It includes a listing of the Hamilton County Convention and Visitor Bureau partners, stories on our eight great towns, and a convenient road map 

We also publish occasional special sections for chambers and other organizations, including sponsored road maps. We are always open to suggestions for new products. If you would like to partner on a project, please call us.

Editorial Independence

Unlike many business magazines, we maintain the traditional wall between advertising and editorial. You can't "buy" a cover story in our magazine. Editorial decisions are based solely on the story's merits: its interest to our readers and/or its impact on the Hamilton County business community.

History

We started as a product of the Noblesville Daily Times in the summer of 2008. When the Daily Times closed in August of that year, we launched a new company for the sole purpose of publshing this and other magazines. Now in our third year, we have been embraced by the Hamilton County Business Community. Here is a recent email:

I’ve been reading the Hamilton County Business Magazine since we opened our Fishers location, and I think it’s a great publication.  I was surprised when I read it for the first time because sometimes the quality, design and content of some smaller publications leave a lot to be desired, but HCBM puts together a great whole package month after month…I thought I’d let you know how much I enjoy the magazine.

Quality

We are proud of the quality of our content and strive to maintain that quality in every issue. We are fortunate to operate in one of the best counties for business in the United States. Our residents take an active interest in their business, government, schools and non-profit institutions. We rely on that high level of interest to  generate readership for our advertisers.

Chamber of Commerce

We are aligned with the goals of our six local chambers of commerce. We belong to all six chambers and work to foster communication between them and among their members. All six receive one page each within each edition of our magazine to promote their organizations. We view them as strategic business partners and believe that our success is dependent on their success. Every member of all six chambers receives a copy of our magazine in the mail as a benefit of belonging to their respective chamber.
